oil on canvas, 20 x 20 cm For this miniature I rubbed back the indigo background to lighten the sky over the horizon, and to soften the island, to make it recede. Normally this would be done with a rag, but for small paintings like this I use cotton buds.  

This is a watercolour drawing I did today as a preparatory outline for a miniature painting of Shri Ganesha. Size approx 150 x 150 mm.
